Print jobs printed on our digital presses can be printed "full bleed". It is not possible to print all the way to the edge of a sheet of paper/card, to achieve this it is necessary to print a larger area than is needed and then trim the paper/card down to the required size. Images, background images and fills which are intended to extend to the edge of the page must be extended 1/16 (0.0625) inches beyond the cut line to give a bleed. Text and other images that you need on your finished job must sit 1/16 (0.0625) inches in from the cut line to avoid having your artwork look as if it were about to fall of the page.
For your convenience we would advise you to use one of the free templates that we provide which are already set to the correct bleed.
Example
The artwork for 8.5 x 5.5 postcard should not be designed at 8.5 x 5.5. Rather, the file size must include the 1/16 (0.0625) inch bleed on each side of the document. This will increase your file size to 8.56 x 5.56.

This is where the finished product will be cut. |
Anything that is not getting cut must be inside this line. |
This is the final document size w/ the bleed included. |
Crop Marks
Crop marks will only be needed if you decide not to use one of our free templates. Our requirements will still be the same as stated above. You will need a 1/16 (0.0625) inch bleed all around your document. This is a setting that is selected from within your design software. (see the example below)
