There are no restrictions on printing "static" QR codes. These are QR codes that do not change based on a field from your mailing list. They are treated just like any other graphical elements such as your logo. But additional restrictions apply to QR which is variable and changes based on a field from your mailing list. We can print two types of variable QR codes. 1. QR codes for the site addressScanning this QR code will direct you to a specific page or a site. We need the complete site address beginning with "HTTP:" in your mailing list.
2. QR codes for contact informationContact information (MECODE format)This code contains contact information, similar to a business card. This QR includes the following fields:
Contact information (vCard format)This code contains contact information, similar to a business card. This QR includes the following fields:
NOTE: If you use a field from the above tables that do not exist in our mailing list upload options, then use the misc. fields for the missing fields. Static vs. variable QR codesWe can print both a static QR code which is the same QR on all the pieces or a variable QR code that changes and is based on your mailing list. All the codes mentioned above can be either static or variable.
NOTE: We recommend a minimum size of 1" wide by 1" high for your code to ensure an accurate scan. This size is sufficient for a site QR as well as a contact QR with a few fields populated. You may need to use a larger size if you are using a contact QR with all the fields populated. We suggest 1.5" by 1.5" if you are using most or all of the fields in the contact QR. Place a comment about your desired size for the QR in your order. |
